LED Light Therapy
the dermalux difference
How LED works and what it can treat
LED light therapy has been around for decades, and we have the pioneering work of NASA to thank as they laid the foundation for advanced phototherapy devices. Originally developed for plant growth experiments on space missions, the technology was found to accelerate wound healing in astronauts and has since become a widely accepted treatment for various skin and health conditions.
LED phototherapy is the application of low-level energy (specific wavelengths of light) to the skin, stimulating natural processes at a cellular level, to either improve, regulate or inhibit specific cellular processes to obtain proven therapeutic results.
Working synergistically to provide precise doses of energy to different layers of the skin, the light triggers biological processes to increase cell activity and the body’s own natural healing processes.
Wavelengths penetrate at different depths and are measured in nano metres (nm).
Ideal for treating:
Blue Light (415nm)
Blue light operates at the surface level of the skin and is the most clinically proven light to destroy stubborn C.Acnes bacteria.
Red Light (633nm)
Red light operates at the Dermal layer of the skin, to charge skin cells, accelerating the body’s natural ability to repair and renew.
Near Infrared Light (830nm)
Near Infrared Light is known as the healing wavelength and travels much deeper into the skin, and beyond, reaching down to the sub cutaneous layer and muscle. It allows the skin to work as it biologically should and takes skin out of ‘panic’.
These light wavelengths can be used individually or simultaneously, depending on the treatment goals.
Results
Dermalux Phototherapy is clinically proven to deliver results
Considered the gold standard of professional LED Phototherapy with results from independent testing demonstrating Dermalux to be at least 3 times more powerful, and delivering unrivalled consistent treatment performance, compared to other LED devices available.
Dermalux has been recognised by industry experts and won numerous awards, including the “Best Treatment” award at the prestigious 2019 and 2020 Aesthetics Awards, as well as the “Best Manufacturer of Treatment Equipment” at the 2018 Aesthetic Industry Awards.
Eczema (atopic dermatitis) and rosacea are chronic inflammatory skin diseases which are highly prevalent on a global scale. These skin conditions have a significant impact on quality of life, and there are limited long-term treatment options. Whilst LED phototherapy is well established for the treatment of acne and psoriasis, latest clinical studies show evidence of its effectiveness in treating eczema and rosacea via anti-inflammatory, anti-erythema, and skin barrier-supportive mechanisms.
Here are just a few Before and After photos showing the unrivalled results which can be achieved from this comfortable and hygienic treatment delivery for the face and body.
